CRS Workbook Study Guides 2010Here is the best, perhaps the only, instructional tool available for teaching CRS. Designed for law enforcement training, this instructional tool consists of three volumes:
These volumes should be used along with a standard version of the statutes provided by the District Attorneys’ Council, LexisNexis, etc. At the close of the Legislative Session each year the set is revised to include amendments, laws repealed and new laws. This has been completed for 2010. Questions are provided throughout the three volumes and are suitable for quizzes and testing. Once students have written their answers; these may be scored and lively discussions may follow. The need for cross-referencing when studying the laws occurs frequently and this can be both frustrating and time consuming. Much of this has already been done in ways to help the student. There is no reason for a course in CRS to be dull or uninteresting. The method of instruction employed here provides a variety of learning experiences, which translate to real world situations. The value for the student will remain far beyond the schedule for the course. Click here to order CRS Workbook Study Guides 2008. Colorado Peace Officer's Law & Procedure Field Guide

The attempt of this outline is to identify all the new changes that impact law enforcement and to put those changes into the proper context for better understanding. The highlighted text denotes changes to the existing statutes or identifies newly enacted statutes. The second purpose of this outline is to provide a reference manual until the 2010 version of the Colorado Revised Statutes are published which will probably be sometime in October/November 2010. Click here to read the 2010 Legislative Update Training BulletinsThese bulletins are prepared as legal briefs from the full text version of the latest published decisions from the United States Supreme Court, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court, and the Colorado Court of Appeals. Those court decisions that have an impact on the day to day activities in which police officers engage are prepared as legal briefs in an attempt to educate law enforcement on the latest procedural rules. These rules typically encompass those activities that we do every day….contacts, traffic stops, investigatory detentions, arrests, and searches and seizures of every type. The hope is that these briefs clearly explain the facts of the situation, the legal issue that was before the court, the law as it exists, the reasons why the court decided the way it did and what we as law enforcement officers need to learn from each case. In other words "what's the bottom line?" Access to current Training Bulletins is available through an annual subsription of $125. Contact us regarding volume pricing.
